Judith Handson Lasater
Judith Hanson Lasater, PhD, PT, has been teaching yoga since 1971. Her doctoral degree is in East-West Psychology. She is one of the founders of Yoga Journal magazine and is president emeritus of the California Yoga Teachers Association—the first professional yoga teacher association in North America. Her own study of yoga includes a senior teaching certificate from B.K.S. Iyengar, which she received in 1983. She trains students and teachers throughout the United States as well as abroad, and has written eight books, including 30 Essential Yoga Poses, Living Your Yoga, Relax and Renew, and YogaBody. Lizzie Lasater
Raised in San Francisco and trained as a designer and architect, Lizzie Lasater, MArch, RYT, teaches yoga internationally and online. She sometimes jokes that she’s been practicing yoga since the womb because Judith Hanson Lasater is her mom. Lizzie lives in the Alps with her Austrian husband.
