Although often overlooked as part of a training regimen, rest is one of the most important aspects of climbing. Your body is temporarily weakened after a period of hard climbing or training, so it reacts by rebuilding damaged tissues in order to perform better next time, a reaction called supercompensation. In order to recover and let your muscles rebuild beyond their previous state, you need to rest. But recovery shouldn’t mean just sitting on the couch. Yoga is a great way to keep your body active, while letting it get the R&R it needs. Here are four recovery-specific classes.
