Healthy and Unhealthy Fats
There are three types of macronutrients and each performs a different function in the body.
- Healthy Fats: Provide lubrication for the body, protect the organs, and are an excellent energy source
- Proteins: Provide amino acids which are the building block for tissues, antibodies, enzymes, and many other bodily functions
- Carbohydrates: Provide the body and cells with usable energy. When your macronutrient intake is not in balance, you can experience low energy levels and many other health issues
