Transitioning to Down
When you get to the top of your climb you will be running hot for a little while before you cool down. Unless it’s very windy and cold, allow yourself to cool down a minute or two before putting on a layer so that you don’t begin sweating. Be sure to put on at least a shell layer for the descent, even on warm days to keep out snow in a fall and to prevent chill from the wind.
