Finding & Using Coordinates
Coordinates—expressed in either latitude/longitude or UTM—are a precise measurement of a specific location on the planet. Once you’ve pinpointed the coordinates of your position (or of your destination or a point of interest along the way), you can use them to figure out your location on a map, plot a course, or communicate where you are to rescuers if you’re in a jam.
